How We Got Here

The current Lone Star College Tomball Jazz Ensemble was formed in the wake of the recent lockdown/pandemic. With a focus on resourcefulness and a mindset of renewal, the group was formed with all new members, new music, and with new direction. Taking the name, The Timbre Hunden Ensemble and Directed by Chase DeMaster, the group is actively reaching to perform in their community, archive their work with quality recordings, and foster relationships that will serve an interdependent win-win for all. As Wayne Shorter once said of Jazz, “I dare you. Let’s jump into the unknown!”, the Timbre Hunden Ensemble hopes to inspire just that!
